A 3.5 mil levy to fund emergency medical services operations in Williams County is defeated by voters, according to election results from Tuesday. With the board of elections reporting all precinct votes in, there were 6,532 votes against, compared to 5,291 casting yes votes. According to the results shown on the board of elections website, those voting by absentee in the county favored the levy by a margin of 55% for versus 45% against. The issue was also fairly close for early voters, with 48% voting in favor versus 52% being against. However, election day voters were against the issue by a 56%-44% spread.
