A January 2026 online auction may now determine the fate of the Community Memorial Hospital building and adjacent property following the termination of a purchase agreement by the Village of Hicksville. No date has been set for the auction. Village officials expressed that the main goal for purchasing was to partner with a hospital to bring back primary healthcare to Hicksville.
