Chase and Olin Brass’ parent company, Global Brass and Copper Holdings will be merging with German brass company, Wieland-Werke. Locally, Chase Brass makes brass rods for building and housing and more from its plant on Selwyn Drive in Montpelier, employing several hundred workers. Olin Brass also operates the Bryan Metals rolling mill on South Main Street in town.
