A No Weed Plea

The Montpelier Village Council hears an impassioned plea from a resident Monday, asking that the members vote to keep a moratorium, forbidding a facility for the cultivation of medical marijuana. Mary Weirich presented the council with the signatures of 50 others who had signed a petition against its repeal. A vote was taken with all but member Cherie Streicher voting to rescind the moratorium.
