About 11 miles of a high-voltage power line in eastern Williams County being rebuilt by FirstEnergy.

About 11 miles of a high-voltage power line in eastern Williams County are being rebuilt by FirstEnergy.  To lower outage risks for Toledo Edison customers in and around West Unity, the West Unity (Stryker) 69-kV line rebuild project will replace outdated equipment with stronger structures and modern technology.  The goal of the work, which started in January, is to make the line more resilient to inclement weather, fallen trees, and other dangers that frequently result in power outages. Additionally, the work would enhance the system’s electrical flow, making it simpler to reroute power and keep customers’ lights on during repairs or crises.
