Agreement Not Appearing Close In Edon Teachers Dispute

A strike may be loom­ing in Edon, after nego­ti­a­tions broke down between the the Edon North­west Teach­ers Asso­ci­a­tion and the school board in their con­tract talks.

If no agree­ment is reached in the nego­ti­a­tions sched­uled over the next ten days, the Edon North­west Teach­ers Asso­ci­a­tion has said it will “move to the next step”.

A ten day notice has been filed with the State Employee Rela­tions Board. If there are no fur­ther nego­ti­a­tions, then the teach­ers asso­ci­a­tion will be required to make a move. Whether or not that move involves a strike has yet to be determined.
