Construction has stopped for the season, on the second of a two-phase project to improve the Williams County Regional Airport. What is Phase II?…it’s the completion of the eastern two-thirds of a 35-foot-wide paved asphalt taxiway. When it’s finished, it will run parallel to the runway. Phase I, the western third of the taxiway, finished earlier this year. Officials say the work will resume in April when the asphalt plants reopen. The project is expected to be finished, sometime this summer.
