An Old Building May Be Saved

The former 1918 Defiance school building may be getting a new lease on life after all. The Board of Education passed a motion to pursue further negotiations with Community Building Partners…on the condition that it places $300,000 in escrow with a mutually acceptable escrow agent on or before April 17…it’s the dollar amount the district would have gotten from the Ohio Facilities Construction Commission for demolition of the former school.
