According to the March edition of Site Selection Magazine, the city of Angola is one of America’s Top 100 Micropolitan Cities for the year 2014. Angola Mayor Dick Hickman read a letter from the Lt. Governor during last nights City Council meeting, when he said that the city has moved up on the list in the last year. A micropolitan city is described by the U.S. Census Bureau as an urban core whose population is between 10,000 and 50,000. Angola was one of seven Indiana cities to make the top 100 in the list, which ranks cities based on yearly corporate facility investment deals.
