Angola man jailed for alleged Jeep theft

An Angola man was arrested in Sturgis for allegedly stealing an SUV from Wolcottville. He’s 26-year-old Mitchell Troyer and is being held in the St. Joseph County Jail awaiting a court hearing. The case stems from the theft of a Jeep Wrangler from the Lassus Handy Dandy station in Wolcottville just before 2 a-m Monday. The Lagrange County Sheriff’s Department investigated the theft and on Monday afternoon, a deputy saw the vehicle being driven by Troyer in Lagrange. A short time later Sturgis Police found Troyer and arrested him.
