Another Disappointment From The Church

The story of international proportions now hits our local community. Williams County prosecutors and Montpelier Police are opening an investigation…directed at Father Nelson Beaver…accused of sexually abusing a child over 25 years ago when Beaver was a pastor at Sacred Heart in Montpelier. Now, Bishop Daniel Thomas places Father Beaver, a priest of the Diocese of Toledo, on administrative leave. The allegation surfaced earlier this month. Beaver currently is the pastor at parishes in Mansfield and Lexington. He served at Sacred Heart, in Montpelier between 1984 and 2004. Beaver denies the allegations.
