Another Victim…Years Later

An accusation…made 21 years after the fact. Officials say a woman called the Williams County Sheriff’s Office to report she was assaulted by a supervisor at the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio, back in 1997. Officials confirm after an investigation that she was talking about Jeffrey Corbett, the supervisor of the jail between 1990 and 1998. He was charged with seven counts of sexual battery involving five inmates at the jail. He was convicted in April 2000 and served 18 months in prison with 10 more years on the state’s sex offender registry. He died in Toledo on March 17, 2015, after a short bout with cancer. Investigators say there really isn’t much that can be done since he served time and has since died.
