Antwerp Police spreading joy while policing

Antwerp Police have been giv­ing out $50 gift cards since Black Fri­day. The Crescent-News reports that the depart­ment got the idea after see­ing a national news story about a com­mu­nity that did the same thing last year. Wal­mart was con­tacted and approved the cards. Offi­cers some­times give out the card while on patrol, while oth­ers take the card to people’s homes where they know they are needed.
