Area Courthouse Shut Down

The Hillsdale County Courthouse is locked down for a couple of hours, after a man threatens to hurt himself and court officials. The suspect was to appear in Hillsdale County District Court for a hearing for failing to pay fines in previous convictions of operating while intoxicated and obscene conduct. He was later arrested in Allen Township and taken to Hillsdale County Jail.
