Area Woman Faces Sentencing Soon

Sentencing is set in the Mary Bates-Robinson case…the Montpelier woman, accused in a pair of stabbings. That hearing is scheduled for July 15th. Prosecutors say Robinson attacked her live-in boyfriend with a knife…stabbing him in the stomach…in the February incident. We reported she initially pled not guilty…and was released on her own recognizance, pending that she have no contact with the alleged victim. She then stabbed the man again…this time in the shoulder…a few days later.
