The Bryan Fire Depart­ment responded to a call for help at a house fire just after 3 o’clock Wednes­day after­noon. The fire was reported at a home at 221 N. Cherry St. in Bryan. No word on injuries or dam­age esti­mates. The inves­ti­ga­tion is con­tin­u­ing today.

Fred Bigger, 83

Frederick “Fred” E. Bigger, 83, passed away Sunday night at Evergreen Manor Nursing Home in Montpelier.  He was born on January 22, 1930 in Blakeslee, Ohio to Benjamin and Mary Mabel (Ford) Bigger.  Fred married Kelly L.
