Baby Box In Place

Officials tell reporters the first Safe Haven Baby Box in Ohio is now in service. It is located on the south side of Hicksville’s Community Memorial Hospital, next to the emergency room. It was formally dedicated by local fire and law enforcement personnel and hospital officials. The Safe Haven Baby Box is an enclosed bassinet built into the side of a building. Once the box is closed, it automatically locks and emergency responders are immediately alerted.
