Bash on the Bay will relocate to the Ohio mainland in 2027.

Bash on the Bay, the popular late-summer music festival held on Put-in-Bay for nearly a decade, will relocate to the Ohio mainland beginning in 2027. Organizer Tim Niese has canceled this year’s festival after the Put-in-Bay Airport board declined his request to move the event from weekdays to a weekend. Last year’s festival – which featured country stars Luke Bryan and Sam Hunt – didn’t draw the crowds that earlier events did, according to Rick Ziebarth, chairman of the airport’s board of directors. Niese said weekday scheduling has long been a challenge for attendees.
