Basketball coming to former Edgerton High School gym.

For the first time in almost 20 years, the cheering of fans and the sound of dribbling basketballs will echo throughout the former Edgerton High School gym for a varsity basketball contest. On Jan. 6, the Edgerton Bulldogs will host the Eastside Blazers from Butler, Indiana, for a “throwback game.” The event will feature the junior varsity and varsity boys basketball teams from both schools, and will be held in the former high school gym built in the 1950s. When the new Edgerton school was built, rather than tear down the former facility at no cost to the school, some of it was converted to village office and community space, including the gym. Due to the special event of the game, passes will not be accepted but a special price for the tickets will be offered. There will also be an order of sales, but the number of tickets available will be limited.
