The Bryan Fire Department responded to more calls for service during 2021 than in any year before. The total number was 526, officials say. That’s a 27% increase from the 413 calls in 2020. They add…the department is on pace for similarly high numbers this year. The number of calls for fires was down, from 58, according to the 2020 annual report, to 49 last year. Of those, 25 were building fires, one fewer than in 2020.
