Big cattle operation worries residents

Some residents in Steuben County are concerned about a large cattle operation ran by Noah Schmucker. According to WANE.com The Indiana Department of Environmental Management has recently granted Schmucker a CFO permit which would allow him to have up to 880 cattle on the farm. Residents who live nearby are upset and said Schmucker has already been running the 800 cattle operation without the required permit, according to WANE.com. They are concerned that if he continues, the water would become polluted.
