Montpelier Police had a busy holiday weekend, including a high-speed chase and multiple arrests on drug-related charges. Early Monday morning, officers executed search warrants at homes on Lafayette and Mill streets…locating various drug-related items, including meth and marijuana. They weren’t able to find Aaron Garrett, 36, who was wanted on outstanding felony warrants. Soon after…Garrett is seen driving on Mill Street. The cops try to pull him over…the chase is on. At high speeds…the pursuit ends after Garrett’s vehicle hit a tractor on County Road L, near County Road 2. He’s in jail, now. No injuries reported.
Then…
Montpelier police responds to a call…Dionte Greeley is refusing to leave the Quality Inn…on Ohio 15 in Holiday City. The police arrives…they find Greeley…he fights with officers…they throw him in the cruiser. One of the officers has minor injuries. Greeley was taken to the hospital in Montpelier…then booked into CCNO on a list of charges.
