BMU Discusses Upcoming Budget

Bryan Municipal Utilities department heads shared their projected expenses and revenues with the Board of Public Affairs, as they prepare to finalize the 2020 budget. Expenses are budgeted to be slightly higher for 2020…at $24 million dollars…they were at $23, plus million, last year. The water department’s 2020 expenses are budgeted virtually the same from 2019. The two most notable expenses are its portion of the advanced metering infrastructure project and expenses associated with a water main replacement on South Williams Street.
