Bryan Municipal Utilities’ upcoming electric transmission line project clears a hurdle in chambers. The city’s Board of Public Affairs approved bids for equipment on the project. Advanced Power Technologies, of LaFayette and Tatman Associates, of Cleveland get the contracts. Highlights of the project include rerouting about 5,000 feet of overhead transmission line, running from the Daggett Substation on East Wilson to a new substation south of Industrial Drive. Work is expected to be finished in 2020.
