Ryan Bowersox is back in the news. The former Deshler police chief, accused of drug and abuse of office charges, has filed motions to suppress evidence and statements in Henry County. Bowersox pled not guilty to drug possession and unauthorized use of the Ohio Law Enforcement Gateway. In the motions to suppress, Bowersox’s attorney argued the search warrants executed at Bowersox’s home in Hamler and the Deshler Police Department are suspect and violated Bowersox’s Fourth Amendment rights, protecting him from illegal seizure of property. Hearings are scheduled for next week in a Henry County courtroom.
