Bowling sentenced in domestic violence case

A Defiance man, Gannon Bowling, pleaded guilty to two counts of domestic violence, endangering children and possession of heroin and sentenced to nearly 5 years in prison. Prosecutor Morray Murray’s office said the 36-year-old man was given credit for 84 days served before his sentencing. The charges that Bowling caused physical harm to an adult household member and a juvenile household member while at his residence on April 7, having had prior convictions for domestic violence and endangering children. The heroin charge alleged that he possessed the drug in a separate incident on Feb. 12 in which an overdose was reported at his residence. An additional count of endangering children was dismissed.
