Brown Enters Plea

An Oakwood enters a plea in a Paulding County courtroom…in connection to a September, 2021 shooting. Charles Brown, 32, pled guilty to assault and improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle. Sentencing is scheduled for today. Brown is accused of shooting Dustin Dobbelaere, 37, of Defiance, several times during a fight, outside The Landing Strip in Oakwood. Brown was then assaulted by a group of people following the shooting. The victim survived.
