Bryan Man Arrested On Arson Charge

A Bryan man has been arrested in con­nec­tion with a fire at the home where he lived. 55 year old Ray Ridg­way of Haver Drive, has been charged with felony aggra­vated arson. The charge comes after fire­fight­ers rushed to the home on Fri­day evening, and found the house full of smoke, with a fire burn­ing in the kitchen. Dam­age was esti­mated at $6,500, with fire dam­age in the kitchen and smoke dam­age through­out the rest of the house. Ridge­way made his ini­tial court appear­ance yes­ter­day in Bryan Munic­i­pal Court. He was then locked up at CCNO, with bond set at $20,000.
