Bryan Man Dies In Afghanistan

A local tragedy. Officials with the Pentagon confirm a soldier from Williams County died while serving in Afghanistan. Pfc. Brandon Kreischer, he was 20, of Stryker, died in a firefight in the southern part of the country. They say it happened on Monday. Kreischer went to Bryan High School and served in the 82nd Airborne Division. An Afghan soldier was wounded and is in custody.
