Bryan Man Drives Car Into Senior Residence

One per­son was charged with dri­ving with­out a license in a car acci­dent at the Foun­tain Park Inn and Vil­las assisted liv­ing senior com­mu­nity Sat­ur­day. Bryan police say 85 year-old Clarence Brown­ing Jr., who lives at Foun­tain Park, was dri­ving his vehi­cle into the park­ing lot when he lost con­trol and it jumped the curb and ran into the build­ing, stop­ping in a room occu­pied by a res­i­dent named Lois Smith. Both she and the dri­ver were injured by falling debris and taken by ambu­lance to Com­mu­nity Hos­pi­tals and Well­ness Cen­ters in Bryan. The dri­ver was later cited for dri­ving with­out a license.
