Bryan man injured in Paulding County crash

A Bryan driver was seriously hurt in a crash yesterday when his car and a wrecker collided on U.S. 24 in Paulding County. Troopers from the Highway Patrol in Van Wert said 19-year-old Preston Downs was rushed by medical helicopter to a Toledo Hospital. He was in serious condition at last check.
Downs failed to yield to a wrecker on County Road 143 driven by 18-year-old Cameron Renfer of Liberty Center. The wrecker slip off the side of the road and overturned, but Renfer wasn’t hurt. Downs car slid into the highway median.
