A Bryan man will serve between 18 and 23 and a half years after being sentenced on attempted murder and rape charges in court. According to the Bryan Times Sammy Celestine II, 43, appeared before Williams County Common Pleas Court Judge J.T. Stelzer to be sentenced after he pleaded guilty to a count of attempted murder, a first-degree felony and two counts of rape, both felonies of the first degree.“I have read a lot of bad reports,” Stelzer said before handing down his sentence and referring to the presentence investigation report. “But this one was quite shocking,” the judge continued. “Because it’s hard to imagine how one human being can treat another human being that way, especially a human that you professed to love, dated for over a year and had a relationship with.”
