BRYAN SCHOOL BOARD OFFICIALLY ACCEPTS GRANT. NOW IT’S UP TO THE VOTERS

The Bryan City Board of Education on Monday, voted to officially accept the Ohio School Facilities Commission’s conditional award of $18.88 million which will go toward a new grade 6–12 school and remodeled middle school for grades pre-K-5.

Now, the voters will decide on November 5th whether or not to approve the local share of funding for the project.

If the voters turn down local funding, the state money will return to Columbus.

Total estimated cost of the proposal is $57.4 million — the state’s share at $18.88 million and the local share at $38.52 million according to the Bryan Times.
