Bryan woman proven not to be missing Milwaukee girl

Tests of a DNA sample taken from a Bryan woman indicates that she is not a Milwaukee girl who vanished on her way to school 14 years ago. That child,
Alexis Patterson, vanished on her walk to an elementary school that sat just about 1,000 feet from her home. Police in Bryan collected a voluntary DNA sample from a woman suspected of being Alexis Patterson, after getting a tip from the woman’s ex-husband. He suggested the woman had physical characteristics similar to Alexis, and remembered little of her youth before age 10. Now that she’s been eliminated, Milwaukee police will continue to try to find the girl.
