Budget Approved

Williams County Commissioners approve a $54 million dollar budget for 2022, including about $17 million in General Fund expenses. The overall budget is about a 5% increase from 2021. It represents about a 6.1% increase from last year. Per the Ohio Revised Code, the General Fund is the single largest discretionary fund managed by the Board of County Commissioners. The federal American Rescue Plan is providing $350 billion in emergency funding for eligible state, local territorial and Tribal governments to respond to the COVID-19 emergency. Williams County is receiving a little more than $7.1 million in two separate payments…a $3.5 million dollar payment the county received last year…and another three and a half million…to be received in May.
