Building Damage At Area Employer

A fire at Scottdel in Swanton leads to the partial demolition of one of the company’s buildings. Officials say shortly after returning to the Swanton Fire and Rescue Station from a prior incident, a firefighter noticed black smoke coming from Scottdel Cushion Plant #4, on Zeiter Way. Approximately half of the structure was demolished in order to put out the fire. The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
