Cameron Butler, the Defiance man who led police in a high speed chase in November will be evaluated for his competency to stand trial. Butler pled not guilty in a Defiance County courtroom to assault, failure to comply with an officer and more. The bench continued the case, ordering Butler to undergo a competency and criminal responsibility evaluation by the Court Diagnostic and Treatment Center of Toledo. Schmenk had previously set bond at $1 million cash with a 10 percent allowance provision for Butler.
