There is a local connection to last week’s insurgency in Washington, D.C. Nicholas Ochs, now in federal custody in connection to the rioters who stormed the U.S. Capitol, last week…appears to have attended Huntington North High School. Ochs is the founder of the “Proud Boys” Hawaii chapter. He was one of more than 90 people arrested after breaking into Capitol building. He is seen on several pieces of video during the melee. Ochs faces Title 18 charges. Unlawful Entry into Restricted Buildings or Grounds. Those are major federal crimes. A look at Huntington North’s 2005 High School yearbook shows Ochs in the senior class head shots, as well as in photos with the cross country and track teams…in a computer lab…and in a food and nutrition class. He could get up to 20 years in a federal lockup.
