Com­mis­sion­ers also rezoned three parcels of land from agri­cul­ture to com­mer­cial. The nearly 3 acres are in Pulaski Town­ship. The owner of the prop­er­ties, Tim Car­lin, was at the meet­ing. His real­tor, TJ Zim­mer­man, said there are no imme­di­ate plans to develop the properties.

Job and Family Services employee fired

A Job and Fam­ily Ser­vices employee was fired Fri­day. The Williams County Com­mis­sion approved the dis­missal after a half-hour exec­u­tive ses­sion with County Job and Fam­ily Ser­vices Direc­tor Pam John­son. The employee they say was fired for a vari­ety of rea­sons, includ­ing dis­hon­esty, malfea­sance, vio­lat­ing depart­ment rules and insubordination.

Bryan Police say they arrested an 18-year-old man on theft charges on Sat­ur­day. Ryan Coker was picked up Sat­ur­day night just after 11 p.m. for two counts of theft. He was booked and then released on his own recognizance.

It’s finally here. The annual Defi­ance hol­i­day orna­ment is being sold at the Down­town Defi­ance Vis­i­tors Bureau, Deluxe Clean­ers and at Stam­baugh Jew­el­ers.
