CCNO is dropping its lawsuit against the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction. Dennis Sullivan, executive director of the jail facility, filed suit against the state agency in Ohio’s Supreme Court in December, to block the rule, requiring county jails from quarantining their post-sentence inmates for 14 days prior to prison transfer. Sullivan argued the decision to enact the order was arbitrary and redundant since the ODRC itself required a 14-day quarantine while in-processing new prison inmates.
