Cemetary Rates Going Up In Defiance

Defi­ance City Coun­cil met Tues­day and decided to move for­ward with rate increases at River­side Ceme­tery.

Coun­cil on Tues­day, approved an ordi­nance amend­ing cur­rent leg­is­la­tion con­cern­ing Riverside’s fee struc­ture.

The River­side ordi­nance passed, 6–1, fol­low­ing a third read­ing.

Fol­low­ing council’s action Tues­day, rates for con­tigu­ous River­side Ceme­tery grave lots will dou­ble for city res­i­dents, and go even higher for non-city residents.
