Chapa Is The New Chief

Chris Chapa will be sworn in as City Bryan’s police chief after city council approved his hire by a 3-2 vote. Chapa has served as interim chief since Michael Willis retired in August. He started with the police department in July 2001. Officials say the city received 11 applications and interviewed five candidates before Chapa was recommended for the job.
