Charlton Enters Race

The Republican nomination for the District 4 seat on the Steuben County Council is officially a race. Former county department head, Frank Charlton filed his candidacy for the post that is currently held by Tony Isa…who is in the start of his second year in office…after he was caucused in to his seat in December 2020. So far, it’s the only contested race for the Steuben County Council. One open seat remains for District 1…as the incumbent, Jim Getz, is running for the North District seat on the Steuben County Board of Commissioners. He’s running against Andy Laughlin. Christina Cress is running for the District 1 nomination. District 2 incumbent, Rick Shipe and District 3’s Ruth Beer are, so far, unopposed for nomination.
