Clinic Fire

Fire crews were called out to a large fire at a health clinic in Gar­rett, Indi­ana Fri­day morn­ing.

The fire at St. Martin’s Health­care was first reported around 8 a.m. Fri­day.

The build­ing sus­tained heavy water and smoke dam­age.

St. Martin’s Health­care is a clinic that serves those who can’t afford health care, includ­ing med­ical, den­tal, and edu­ca­tion and well­ness pro­grams. The clinic serves all of DeKalb County and is affil­i­ated with St. Joseph Catholic Church in Gar­rett.

Off­i­cals there say the build­ing will be closed for four to six weeks.
