Clinton St. Bridge Nears Closure

Here’s the latest on a bridge fix in Defiance. Beginning in mid-February, the 28,000 vehicles that use the Clinton Street bridge in Defiance every day will have to find another way across. The two-lane bridge over the Maumee River will be closed to traffic beginning around Feb. 11 and stay closed until late fall 2019. Much of the concrete work on the old span, built in 1932, cannot be repaired as quickly as rebuilding it.
