Commander says VFW is not for sale despite rumor

In Pioneer, Ron Kirkendall is denying a rumor that his beloved VFW Post is for sale. The Commander of Post 8628 says an anonymous letter proposed to sell the post or merge it with another organization. Kirkendall says if the membership actually supported the Post, there wouldn’t be problems. He’d like to see the post return to the days when they could give back to the community.
