A point-in-time homeless count is held locally as well as across Ohio each year. Statewide, there were 12,325 homeless found during the count, according to the 2013 Ohio Homeless Report from the Coalition on Homelessness and housing in Ohio.
This year’s point-in-time count here in our region will take place next Tuesday, Jan. 28. Volunteers are being sought to help with this year’s count. To volunteer, call the Richland Place PATH Center at 419–782-6962 or email khurtt@nocac.org. Volunteers will be making/taking phone calls, taking surveys and even going out to look for homeless individuals.
No names are taken during the count.
