The Williams County Health Department reports a 4th death from COVID-19. The victim?…a woman in her 60’s. At last check, Williams County reports 287 cases and 4 deaths. Henry County 419 cases and 17 people have died, there. Defiance County?…422 patients, 13 deaths. Paulding County reports 160 cases and 1 fatality. Fulton County…445 patients and 4 deaths. All of these counties are in the Level 2/Orange, which indicates between 50 and 100 cases per 100,000. Williams County is currently at a little more than 96 cases per capita. Statewide?…175,843 confirmed cases…over five thousand have died in Ohio. The pandemic shows no signs of slowing…any time soon.
Governor DeWine cautions the continuing increase in COVID-19 cases indicates that significant numbers of infections are likely this winter…unless people take steps to mitigate and control the spread of the virus. In other words…we need to continue taking basic safety measures…wearing masks…keeping your distance, and avoiding large gatherings. In the last seven days, Ohio COVID-19 cases have averaged 1,475 cases per day…that’s compared to an average of approximately 1,000 cases per day two weeks ago.
