Crash Fatal For Defiance Man

A man from Defi­ance was killed Sat­ur­day after­noon in a crash on Ohio 111 in Defi­ance County.

The Ohio High­way Patrol say 78 year old Fred Justinger lost con­trol of his vehi­cle just north of Ham­mer­smith Road, at about 1:20 p.m., went off the road, trav­eled down an embank­ment, and hit sev­eral trees.

The Cres­cent News reports that Justinger was pro­nounced dead at the scene by the Defi­ance County coro­ner.

Accord­ing to police, Justinger was wear­ing a seat belt.

The crash cur­rently remains under inves­ti­ga­tion by the Ohio High­way Patrol.
