A woman from Cleveland was critically injured in a crash Sunday evening that happened on US-20 in Williams County. It was just before 11pm Sunday, when 26 year old Lisbeth Ortega of Cleveland, who was northbound, crossed the center line and slammed head-on into a southbound vehicle driven by 50 year old Keith Lukaszek of Montpelier. Ortega and Lukaszek were both taken to Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers in Montpelier. Ortega was then transferred to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo. A dog in Ortega’s vehicle was killed in the crash, and both vehicles were heavily damaged. No word on any possible charges being filed at this time. The investigation is underway.
