Crash Leaves One Injured

A woman from Cleve­land was crit­i­cally injured in a crash Sun­day evening that hap­pened on US-20 in Williams County. It was just before 11pm Sun­day, when 26 year old Lis­beth Ortega of Cleve­land, who was north­bound, crossed the cen­ter line and slammed head-on into a south­bound vehi­cle dri­ven by 50 year old Keith Lukaszek of Mont­pe­lier. Ortega and Lukaszek were both taken to Com­mu­nity Hos­pi­tals and Well­ness Cen­ters in Mont­pe­lier. Ortega was then trans­ferred to Mercy St. Vin­cent Med­ical Cen­ter in Toledo. A dog in Ortega’s vehi­cle was killed in the crash, and both vehi­cles were heav­ily dam­aged. No word on any pos­si­ble charges being filed at this time. The inves­ti­ga­tion is underway.
